Camp Schedule (Day 1): My camp was 3 days long from 9:00am-3:00pm. On day 1, I had everyone check in and handed out aprons that I had put their names on using glitter fabric glue and we played a name game. After that the girls started the absorbing water experiment. Next I showed them examples of bridges, pointing out the use of triangles in their structure and the girls designed their own bridges in their groups. Snake bubbles came next along with a discussion about bubbles, their form, why and when they pop, and how they stick together. We took the girls outside for lunch, getting a break and some fresh air. After lunch we attempted to make bouncy balls. When the bouncy balls didn't turn out we found a recipe for slime and the girls enjoyed playing with that for a while. Finally the girls got to start building their bridges. At the end of the day the girls got a snack and we recapped everything that happened that day as well as asking each of the girls their favorite area of science and if they think they might want a job relating to science in the future.
